Hugh Charles Clothing was born on a family farm in East Gippsland, Victoria.
After years of drought, bushfires and the challenges that come with life on the land, our family faced a choice: adapt or walk away. We chose to adapt.
What began as a response to adversity has grown into a commitment to creating quality clothing for hardworking Australians. Inspired by the resilience of farming families, we design garments made from natural fibres that are built to last - pieces you'll reach for every day and miss when they're in the wash.
We're passionate about supporting Australia's wool, cotton and leather industries- sourcing materials that reflect the quality and character of the communities they come from.

My shirt arrived quickly. It is so soft. I wish the weather here would get cooler so I can wear it!
Got the shirt just as autumn is starting to get cold (TAS) and it's excellent. Really like how it's soft on the surface and nice and dense. It's very warm. Get one if you're looking for a wool shirt or jacket.
I love that it's 100% wool!
No synthetic fibres blended into it and no synthetic liners and such (unlike main competitors) because the wool itself is soft and not scratchy so it doesn't need it.
Don't know if it's the wool quality or the way it's worked but it's significantly softer than competition yet the denseness and weave feels strong too. I suspect that the wool quality is really high.
